If only one can suit up, it will give their team a decided edge.
Karl-Anthony Towns may fill up the stat sheet but it feels like watered down stats given they haven’t been coming at crucial moments in the matches especially recently when the Knicks have needed him to take on a bigger scoring load in Brunsen’s absence.
One thing in favor of New York is their home record, where they are 16-4. Meanwhile, the Suns are 10-12 away from home.
Still, the Suns have something the Knicks don’t (or at least haven’t demonstrated) — a scrappiness and grit where even the last member of their bench brings that attitude to every game.
New York may still win (keep an eye on the injury report in case Booker can go and Brunson can’t), but I’ve been impressed by the Suns’ new identity and style, so I’ll take the points.
