Philly is off to a good start to the season. They did lose their last game though, a surprise one in Phoenix.
Utah has been more solid than good. The defense has been there but they are still working things out.
It is not often that we focus our attention inside but Joel Embiid vs. Rudy Gobert could be fun.
Philadelphia 76ers
Philly is supposed to get Enbiid back for this one after his suspension. They probably don’t really care as they look to rest him when they can.
With Embiid out I thought that Ben Simmons would really step up but that wasn’t the case. Disappointing.

The guy who did was ageless wonder Al Horford, he scored 32 points in a losing effort. I didn’t know he had it in him.
Tobias Harris also put up a strong game in defeat with 24 and 10. With Embiid out it really showed the lack of depth on this roster. They are so top heavy.
Not one reserve scored more than 7 points and that is not going to cut it if this team is going to be elite. They need to develop something off the bench.
Simmons has been a disappointment this season. Again he is not taking what the defense gives him and his numbers are down across the board.
Philly is a very good team but they have flaws. I am curious to see how they do in this one.
Utah Jazz
Utah has lost two in a row but they have also had two days off to prepare for this one at home.

The thing they have to figure out is how to get more out of Mike Conley Jr. In just seven games there have already been three where he has been under 10 points. He is not a prime scorer but he was supposed to be the missing point for his scoring and playmaking.
Rudy Gobert is doing what he does, leading the team in rebounding and blocks and helping set the top defense in the NBA. He will have his hands full with a fresh Embiid but he will make him earn it.
Bojan Bogdanovic has been great for Utah on the wing. He is making 45% of his three point attempts and averaging 20ppg. I think he can keep it up too. He is just a really good shooter and they are getting him great looks.
