76ers vs. Raptors Gameday
Monday serves up six matches on the hardwood, including the Philadelphia 76ers visiting the Toronto Raptors for the second game of a baseball back-to-back set.
Philly arrives following a 115-116 overtime loss to these same Raptors on Sunday. Five Sixers scored in double figures, with Tyrese Maxey leading the way, dropping 38 points. Joel Embiid sat out with discomfort in his groin, while Paul George was a late scratch.
Meanwhile, the Raptors were missing starters Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, and Jakob Poeltl, and then lost JaKobe Walter early in the match to a hip pointer. Scottie Barnes (knee) returned for this game and made an immediate impact, including the game-winning free throw.

Philly sits in the fifth seed with a record of 21-16 (now a 1.5 games back of Toronto). They are 3-2 through the last five matches and have won five of seven. After this baseball set, the 76ers will host nine of their next ten contests at home.
Through the last five matches, the Raptors are 4-1 despite missing key starters and continue to find a way to gut out wins with defense and next man up mentality. After this baseball set, Toronto will play six of its next seven on the road.
Philly is favored by 3.5 points with an over/under of 220.5 points.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors bottom line:
Coming into the front side of this baseball set, the Sixers looked poised to steal two games in Toronto, who potentially had four starters sidelined. That changed when Scottie Barnes was able to go, and Paul George wasn’t.
Moreover, it’s expected both Philly stars will play, and since they are 1.5 games back of Toronto now, they will approach this as a must-win.
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors Basketball Betting Trends

- Philadelphia is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games against Toronto.
- Also, Toronto is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games.

76ers Raptors Free Pick: 76ers -3.5
Here is my 76ers Raptors free pick. The Raptors’ youngsters are stepping up in games that matter, and rookie Collin Murray-Boyles should be getting some more attention after the past few weeks.
He matched his career-best 15 rebound effort on Sunday, adding 17 points for the double-double. Darko Rajakovic is putting more and more trust in Jamal Shead, who, if we’re honest, runs the point better than Immanuel Quickley, particularly in clutch time.
It’s no coincidence the Raptors are performing well despite missing core starters with the ascent of Collin Murray-Boyles. He’s posted 15 rebound efforts twice in the last five matches and is playing with more confidence both offensively and defensively.
Still, I’m taking the Sixers in this second game because they NEED the victory and can’t afford to lose the momentum they were gaining prior to the loss on Sunday. Assuming both Embiid and George play on Monday, they’ll have the talent edge versus the Raps.
Of note, there is a chance Brandon Ingram returns to play which may shake up the scoring, but I’m rolling with Philly to win and cover.
