Although Jalen Brunson got the majority of the headlines for his 47-point performance (which he took 34 shots to reach) the true hero of the match was OG Anunoby.
It’s humorous listening to the accolades he’s getting now that he plays in a big market as if he’s suddenly become a new player. He should’ve been a perennial member on All-Defensive teams and perhaps now he’ll get his due.
Anunoby scored 16 points but his real value was in shutting down Embiid in the final frame.
Knicks Stats
New York ranks tied for seventh offensively (117.3) and ninth defensively (112.4) while their net differential is plus +4.9 which ranks fifth overall.
Through their fourth game of the playoffs, the Knicks rank fourth offensively (117.0), and 11th defensively (116.3) with a plus +0.8 net differential ranking eighth.
With the injuries to the core, the Knicks’ performance against the spread dipped but remain above .500 with a 46-39-1 record through 86 contests.

Close-out games are never easy and the Sixers won’t just roll over and die. Josh Hart has been an x-factor in the series while I’d also keep an eye on Kyle Lowry, even at his age I won’t be surprised if he plays a key role in the outcome.
It does feel like it’s the Knicks game to lose, but this series has been so entertaining I’m pulling for an upset to extend the series.
