They did break their losing streak a little bit ago, but it seems like they are back to their old ways again.
Even in a season where a team knows they are not going to do a whole lot of winning, they want to see some signs that make them feel like they will be better in the future years. Unfortunately for them, that has not been the case.
All year long, it has either been these guys or the Detroit Pistons as the worst teams in basketball. Those two have really put themselves in another category with how poor their play has been.
Orlando lost to the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday by a score of 96-88. It does not matter which team they play against, you never feel like the Magic are going to win the game.
The defense played pretty well in the last game, but the offense was really lacking. When you score less than ninety points in an NBA game, it is pretty hard to record wins.
Philadelphia 76ers
Overall, I have thought this 76ers team has played decent this season. I do feel they could be a bit better, but I would not be surprised if they got stronger as the year goes on.
Philadelphia comes into this ball game with a record of 25-18, which puts them in 6th place in the Eastern Conference. It is still very possible that they can get to a better seed, but they are going to have to play a bit more consistently than they have been.
If I had to put the best teams in the East in a group, I am not sure I would put them in it. That is not to say they are a bad team, but I do feel that a few of the teams ahead of them are better than they are at the present time.
This team got blown out by the Washington Wizards on Monday by a score of 117-98. Those are the sorts of losses that just cannot happen.
In their last game, they totally let Washington do what they wanted to do on both sides of the ball. The game was relatively close for a bit, but a bad fourth quarter is what really did these guys in.

Orlando will look to be much better on the offensive side of the ball, but that will not be easy when they face this tough defense. It still baffles me that they scored so few points to a terrible defense in the Blazers.
