This series looks like a total mismatch…and it probably is. Last year the Magic gave the Raptors a jab in game one.
Milwaukee has been just OK in the bubble but I think they were going through the motions. They can do that again and win.
Orlando Magic
The Magic kind of eeked into the playoffs, there was not much drama in the bubble, the only thing they accomplished was losing Jonathan Isaac. There is every reason to expect they will go out with a wimper.
Since this is game one it gives them their best chance at an upset. Perhaps they have some new wrinkle the Bucks haven’t seen and perhaps it works.
The strength of the team is upfront. Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic are the engines for this club. Gordon is likely going to have to guard Gordon so Vucevic is going to have to have a big game. He has struggled in the bubble.
The backcourt of the Magic is not very good and not very explosive. They have to be a positive for the team or this gets out of hand super fast.
Milwaukee Bucks
We are finally here for the Bucks who have had an anti-climactic season at the top of the Eastern Conference. It’s go time now.
The key for the Bucks is Giannis. I expect he will be virtually unopposed with Isaac out. If he is playing his game and keeping his cool they should roll.
The Lopez brothers are going to have to do some work guarding Vucevic. I think they will be just fine in doing so. If they outscore him these games will be a blowout.
Not to be forgotten is Khris Middleton, who had an awesome season. The Magic don’t have anyone great to guard him either.
Orlando is a really great matchup for Milwaukee. They don’t have anyone to really guard Giannis and they don’t have to worry about their guards either.
Look for this one to be a breeze. 12 points in a lot to cover in a playoff game as there will be concern about the backdoor.

Free Orlando Magic vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Prediction:
There is every expectation for the Bucks to dominate. Homecourt or no they are far the better team. They could be a little sluggish to start though given all of the considerations.
Odds are they probably work up to a 20 point lead at some point in this one. They do that in a lot of games. I am a little more keen on a half court line then perhaps the full game, where anything can happen in the last few minutes.
If you are looking for a full game bet the over is the way to go. I am not expecting that level of defensive intensity we usually see in the playoffs in this one, even though it is the only way the Magic can hope to keep it close.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Over 225
Looking for the Bucks to be able to knock off at least 125 in this one. When a game gets out of hand, some easy buckets help nudge this one over.
The Bucks are a high volume three-point shooting team. They are not going to change their style of play just because they are in the lead.
The playoffs are going to be different in the bubble
***NOTE*** In case you missed it…When the 2020 NBA 16-team playoff field is set, the NBA Playoffs will proceed in a traditional conference-based format with four rounds and best-of-seven series in each round. The 2020 NBA Finals will end no later than Oct. 13.
