Free Orlando Magic vs. Brooklyn Nets NBA Prediction:
Monday, February 24th, the Orlando Magic face the Brooklyn Nets for the second time in the regular season. The Magic won the initial match on January 6th (101-89).
Last season, the teams played three times with the Nets winning two of the three contests. The Magic hold the all-time record having bested the Nets in 64 of their 114 matches
Orlando Magic
An interesting trend of the Magic is they tend to beat lower seeds and struggle against the elite teams. They’ll need to fix that if they want to usurp the Nets who sit directly above them on the ladder.

In their last game, they lost to the Mavericks. Nikola Vucevic registered a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Aaron Gordon joined him with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Evan Fournier (28), Terrence Ross (19), and Markelle Fultz (14) were the other double-figure contributors.
The issue was other than Fournier the team struggled to hit from deep registering 20.9 percent on 9 of 43 perimeter attempts.
The Magic team leaders are Nikola Vucevic with 19 points, 10.8 rebounds, and field goal percentage of 45.8% while Markelle Fultz leads assists (5.0) and steals (1.3) and Mo Bamba for blocks (1.4).
Fultz (leg cramping) and Gary Clark Jr are listed as probable and questionable respectively. Jonathan Isaac (knee) and Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) are out long-term.
Brooklyn Nets
It’s an eerily similar situation for the Brooklyn Nets as to what occurred in Kyrie Irving’s first season in Boston. The predominantly young squad expected Irving to lead and be the primary scorer.
Instead, they watched as he suffered absences due to injury and eventually shut down unable to play during the playoffs. In his absence, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown took major strides and the team made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Flash forward to this season and as teams returned from the break Brooklyn announced Irving would undergo season-ending shoulder surgery and be lost for the season and playoffs.
And just like Tatum and Brown, the Nets youngsters Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie and Jarrett Allen are all stepping up and it’s resulting in more wins without Irving than with him.
They were the team who stopped the Raptors win streak at 15 and their only loss in the last five games was in overtime to the 76ers in a match they led by double figures.
They used that loss as motivation in the victory over the Hornets on Saturday. Eight different Nets scored in double-figures with Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot leading the scoring with 21 points.
Caris LeVert scored 17 while Garrett Temple (15 points, 11 rebounds) and Jarrett Allen (12 points, 11 rebounds) each registering double-doubles.
Spencer Dinwiddie leads the team in scoring (20.8) and assists (6.7). Allen tops field goal percentage (63.7%) and blocks (1.4) DeAndre Jordon for rebounds (9.9) and Taurean Prince for steals (0.9).
Kyrie Irving (shoulder) and Kevin Durant (Achilles) are out for the season.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Nets are 6-4 in last 10 head to head
- The Nets are 6-4 ATS in their last 10
- Over Under is 5-4-1 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups

Brooklyn holds a 2.5 game edge over Orlando as they reside in the seventh and eighth seeds currently and will play two more times this season. For that reason expect this game to take on a playoff intensity.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Lean OVER
