New York Knicks
With their season on the line, Tom Thibodeau pulled out all the stops playing Jalen Brunson and Quentin Grimes all 48 minutes of Game 5.
Brunson delivered 38 points (12 of 22), nine rebounds, and seven assists. Grimes was on the court more for his defensive abilities. RJ Barrett and Julius Randle also stepped up scoring 26 and 24 respectively.
Thibs using two players the entirety of the game was excessive but considering the Heat reserves outscored the Knicks 42 to 8 it’s obvious why he did it.

Free New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat NBA Prediction:
Kudos to the Knicks who fell behind early in Game 5 but never gave up. It would’ve been easy to raise the white flag knowing how hard the path is for them to advance.
Doing that in front of hometown fans is far easier than on the road so expect Erik Spoeltra’s game plan to include jumping on the Knicks from the tip — building an early sizeable lead and riding it to victory.
I’m not shading the Knicks when I say they were the least likely of the eight semi-finalists to advance. Their core is young without a ton of playoff experience (Brunson has the most which says a lot) and need to add some shooting to take the next step.
They are scrappy and could surprise to force a Game 7 back at MSG — but I just can’t see Butler, Spoelstra, or Lowry allowing that to happen. Especially knowing they could be resting watching the Celts and 76ers who were forced into a Game 7 battle.
