Without Evan Mobley the Cavaliers defense hasn’t been great and adding James Harden no doubt added to that decline. Mobley is back but has played in limited minutes since his return.
Four teams in the NBA have allowed 20 made 3-pointers in eight or more games with Cleveland among that quartet. The Cavs are 2-6 in those matches (per John Schuhmann).
As per above, the Knicks own the third best perimeter efficiency and make the fourth most 3-pointers. That will present a problem for the Cavs especially if Mobley is limited in minutes again.
While the winner is a toss up for me I think the game will be a nailbiter with both teams intent on owning the better seed so I’ll take the points.
