Saturday, February 8th, the New Orleans Pelicans face the Indiana Pacers as the clubs play for the second and final time this season. In the initial meeting on December 28th, the Pelicans won 120-98 on their home court.
Last season, Indiana won both games between the clubs. The Pacers hold the all-time record having bested the Pelicans in 24 of their 39 matches
New Orleans Pelicans

Having joined the starting lineup Zion Williamson is beginning to mesh with his teammates and led the team in scoring over the Bulls with 21 points.
J.J. Redick (18), Brandon Ingram (15), Josh Hart (14) and Nicolo Melli (14) were the other double-figure contributors.
On the season, Brandon Ingram leads the team in three stat categories including scoring (24.9), rebounds (6.4) and field goal percent (47.3%). Lonzo Ball leads assists (6.7), Josh Hart for steals (1.1) and Jaxson Hayes tops the block (1.0) category.
Brandon Ingram had to leave the game versus the Bulls after sustaining a right ankle sprain making his status for Saturday in Indiana questionable.
Kenrich Williams has missed copious games due to lower back soreness which will keep him out Saturday with no definitive return day.
Darius Miller is out for the season as he continues to recover from a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Indiana Pacers
For the second game in a row, the Indiana Pacers tipped off versus the East’s second-seeded Raptors to finish a home and home series. Having lost three games in a row Indy was desperate to change the outcome of this match on their home court but unfortunately fell short.
That means this second game of a back to back takes on even more credence as the Pacers look to stop a four game losing skid and five of their last six.
In his fifth game back on the court since returning from a year-long absence, Victor Oladipo is looking more like his pre-injury self producing 15 points, 4 assists, a rebound, and two steals. His four turnovers, however, do speak to the rust but eventually, this unit will find their chemistry.
Domantas Sabonis had another huge game against the Raptors with a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds but like Oladipo had trouble with turnovers coughing the ball up six times.
Malcolm Brogdon (16), Justin Holiday (12), and TJ McConnell (12) also provided double-digit scoring efforts.
On the season Domantas Sabonis leads the team in scoring (18.2), rebounding (12.6) and field goal percent (54.0%). The other three category leaders are Malcolm Brogdon for assists (7.3), TJ Warren for steals (1.1) and Myles Turner for blocks (1.9).
TJ Warren missed his third game due to the concussion protocol program while TJ Leaf was on the bench for the Pacers game but didn’t played.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Raptors are 6-4 in last 10 head to head
- The teams are 7-3 ATS in their last 10
- Over Under is 3-6-1 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups
- New Orleans are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 road games.
Free New Orleans Pelicans vs. Indiana Pacers NBA Prediction:
Although the Pacers will be the wearier of the two clubs they play solidly on both sides of the hardwood and should get back on track in this game.
