Free New Orleans Pelicans vs. Dallas Mavericks NBA Prediction:
Wednesday, March 4th, the New Orleans Pelicans play the Dallas Mavericks for the fourth and final time this season. Dallas won all three previous games.
Last season, the teams played four times with the Pelicans winning three of four. The Mavericks hold the all-time record having bested the Pelicans in 44 of their 66 matches
New Orleans Pelicans
After winning five of six games the Pelicans have lost three of their last four matches. The Pelicans are playing their third game in four nights and on a back-to-back.
This might lead to the team resting Zion Williamson who played 30 minutes in each of the last two games.

On Tuesday, New Orleans had the game in hand and let the Wolves clawback and win. Jrue Holiday delivered a triple-double of 27 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds.
Lonzo Ball (26), Williamson (25), and Brandon Ingram (24) all scored 20 or more while Josh Hart (11) and Derrick Favors (10) offered double-figure efforts.
As evidenced, the Pelicans can score easily but their defense lacks a lot to be desired. They don’t have time to figure things out as the loss pushed them four games back of the Grizzlies while the Spurs and Kings each won.
On the season, team leaders are Brandon Ingram for scoring (24.6) and field goal percent (47.1%). Lonzo Ball leads assists (7.0), Josh Hart for rebounds (6.5), Jrue Holiday for steals (1.3), and Jaxson Hayes for blocks (1.0).
JJ Redick will miss the next two weeks due to a strained hamstring. Kenrich Williams (back ) is out until March while Darius Miller (Achilles) is out for the season.
Dallas Mavericks
Between Luka Doncic missing games for his ankle and thumb plus Kristaps Porzingis dealing with easing back from a major injury, the pair have found it hard to get on the court together.
That’s the bad news – – the good news is the duo have discovered some chemistry and rhythm which will only improve with the more time they get together to cement their rhythm.
The key issue still needing to be addressed is which of the Mavericks players can fill the duo’s need for a reliable third. Each of Seth Curry, Tim Hardaway Jr. and a host of others have held the position.
In the loss to the Bulls, Doncic returned while Porzingis sat out. Although the wunderkid posted 23 points, five rebounds and nine rebounds his sore digit affected his shooting.
Still, he was a half court heave (that hit front rim) away from winning the game. Big men Maxi Kleber (13 points, 10 rebounds) and Boban Marjanovic (14 points, 12 rebounds) both served up double-doubles.
Hardaway Jr. led the scoring with 26 points and Dorian Finney-Smith chipped in with 18 points.
On the season Doncic is the team leader in scoring (28.5 points), rebounds (9.6) as well as assists (8.8). Willie Cauley-Stein tops field goal percentage (67.6%) while Delon Wright leads steals (1.1) and Kristaps Porzingis tops the blocks (2.0).
JJ Barea (ankle), Seth Curry (back), and Cauley-Stein (personal) are questionable. Brunson and Dwight Powell (ruptured Achilles tendon) are out.
