The Timberwolves are coming off a 121-114 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Minnesota had four point lead heading into the fourth quarter before getting outscored 41-30. Karl-Anthony Towns had a strong game with 26 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists.
Andrew Wiggins had 26 points but he only shot 7-of-24 from the field. Robert Covington went for 22 points on 6-of-10 from 3-point range in 28 minutes.
The Mavericks shot 50 percent from the field and the Timberwolves shot 42 percent. While the team did a good job on Luka Doncic (8/22 fg), they struggled to contain Dwight Powell who went 9-9 from the field. Rookie Jarrett Culver added 11 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder lost 107-100 to the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night. The game was throughout but the Pacers closed it strongly with a 28-22 fourth quarter. Steven Adams led the team with 20 points on 8-of-8 shooting.
Dennis Schroder went for 18 points in 22 minutes. The Thunder shot 49 percent from the field and the Pacers shot 48 percent. The difference was turnovers as the Pacers had eight to the Thunder’s 13.
