You can link back to January 29th, when the Wolves beat OKC, to when they turned an uneven campaign around. Granted, they’ve been struggling a bit lately, but that is tied to Edwards injury more than their propensity to play down to lower-tier teams.
Minny will need to protect the ball better than they normally do, or witness the Thunder get out in transition to score on those fast break opportunities.
Some played down Gilgeous-Alexander’s consecutive 20-point games accomplishment. A twisted ankle, or an off shooting night could’ve erased it, so considering all the factors involved, it’s very impressive.
When both squads play to their potential, this is a tough matchup, but with Edwards less than 100%, I’ll take OKC to win but take the points and the Wolves to keep it closer than 9.5 points.
