Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks beat the Kings in overtime on Wednesday night, 141–140. Giannis Antetokounmpo played after missing the previous game against the Bulls to rest but he played light minutes again, logging just 24 of a possible 53 minutes.

He scored 17 with seven rebounds but this team is more than just Giannis. Kris Middleton played 37 minutes and scored 21. Eric Bledsoe, Malcolm Brogdon and Nikola Mirotic combined for 72 points as a trio.

So the Greek Freak has played just 24 minutes in the last five days because he’s been dealing with some knee soreness. He’s gotten so much stronger in the lower body but those legs still take a beating because of the way he plays the game. It’s critical the Bucks give him plenty of rest down the stretch, however much he’s in an MVP race.

With four more wins in a row under the belts to start the post-break schedule, the Bucks will play at LA, at Utah, and at Phoenix in the next four days. From there, it’s back to Wisconsin to coast until the playoffs.

Los Angeles Lakers

Anthony Davis scored 22 points in 21 minutes at the Staples Center but the Lakers won by six, earning a push for backers on Wednesday night.

Former Laker, Julius Randle actually led all scorers with 35 points. LeBron James led the Lakers with 33. Rajon Rondo dished out 16 assists and scored 11 to go along with seven rebounds. Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram both scored 22.
