Game four between the sixth-seed Chicago Bulls and third-seed Milwaukee Bucks tips off on Sunday, April 24th, 2022. Milwaukee is leading the series 2-1 winning the opening game 93-86 and Game 3 (111-81) while the Bulls took Game 2 (114-110).
Milwaukee swept the season series with wins on January 21st (94-90), March 4th (118-112), March 22nd (126-98), and April 5th (126-106).
The Bulls hold the all-time record having bested the Bucks in 132 of their 259 matches.
This will be the fifth time the teams have played in the postseason, Milwaukee won 4-0 in 1974 (Conference finals), 3-1 in 1985 (first round) while Chicago won two opening-round series, 3-1 in 1990 and 4-2 in 2015.
Milwaukee Bucks
Questions surrounded the Bucks and how they would respond to losing Khris Middleton to a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) for at least two weeks.
Milwaukee arrived in Chicago with answers and exclamation points in their response defeating the Bulls by 30 points in Game 3. The rout was on from the tip as the Bucks almost doubled up the Bulls 33-17 in the first quarter and never relinquished their lead.

Without Middleton, it was expected Giannis Antetokounmpo would take on a bigger role but the question was which other Bucks would step up to help offensively.
That it was the Bulls’ arch-enemy Grayson Allen who led the Bucks in scoring with 22 points added insult to injury. Allen was the player who injured Alex Caruso pushing him in the air which led to a fractured wrist and the Bulls guard missing six weeks (22 games).
Antetokounmpo offered 18 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, and a block in just 29 minutes. Bobby Portis got the tap to start and delivered with a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds.
Jrue Holiday (16) and Pat Connaughton (11) were the other double-figure contributors.
George Hill (abdominal) is downgraded to out Sunday. Khris Middleton (knee) is out and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Chicago Bulls
With the Bulls back in front of their fan base riding the emotion of evening up the series the team’s Big 3 failed to replicate the Game 2 effort.
Nikola Vucevic led the way with 19 points and six rebounds. DeMar DeRozan had an extremely quiet night scoring just 11 points on nine shot attempts plus five rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Zach LaVine served up 15 points, five rebounds, five assists, and a steal.
The only other player to reach double-figures was Tony Bradley with 10 points.
Matt Thomas (leg) was downgraded to out on Sunday. Lonzo Ball (knee) remains out indefinitely.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Analysis:
Technically it’s not a must-win game for Chicago but about as close as it gets. Falling behind 3-1 to the defending champs and heading back to to Milwaukee would be like raising a white flag.
Expect the Bulls Big 3 to be more aggressive in this match (particularly DeRozan) although the defensive end of the floor is where Chicago will need to bring the effort.
