The second set of teams in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals gets underway Monday as the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks tip-off. Milwaukee defeated the Orlando Magic in five games while the Heat swept the Pacers en route to clinching their berth in the second round.
The Heat won two of the three matches between the clubs this season. The teams met once prior in the postseason with the Heat sweeping the Bucks in 2013.

Milwaukee Bucks
In a gentleman’s sweep of the Magic, the Bucks navigated their first round with relative ease despite an opening game loss in the series.
Giannis Antetokiounmpo hasn’t missed a beat in the bubble and collected the Defensive Player of the Year award last week plus is expected to repeat as the winner of the Most Valuable Player.
In the closeout game of the series versus the Magic, he delivered a double-double of 28 points and 17 rebounds in 28 minutes. After a slow start to the series, Khris Middleton rediscovered his form and in his final game versus Orlando, he also produced a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds.
The four other double-figure contributors were Brook Lopez (16), Marvin Williams (12), George Hill (11), and Eric Bledsoe (10).
A finger injury to Hill won’t keep him off the court for the series opener but Bledsoe is questionable due to a strained right hamstring.
NBA Betting Trends:

Free Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Prediction:
This series could last the full seven games as the Heat present a major challenge for the Bucks. Milwaukee employs a defensive style that allows clubs to fire away from the perimeter and Miami is the fifth-best 3-point shooting team in the bubble and was second overall in the regular season.
In the three games played versus the Heat this season, Antetokounmpo had a tough time averaging 13 points and 15 rebounds. He’ll have to contend with Adebayo and likely a host of other Heat defenders as Erik Spoelstra will try to mix things up.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Heat +5.5
Miami is a big test for Milwaukee and no one should be surprised if they upset the Bucks to move onto the Conference finals. A win in the first game would send the message early but they’ll likely be rusty after a week off.
***NOTE*** In case you missed it…When the 2020 NBA 16-team playoff field is set, the NBA Playoffs will proceed in a traditional conference-based format with four rounds and best-of-seven series in each round. The 2020 NBA Finals will end no later than Oct. 13.
