Last year, the Pistons took the regular series three games to one and also won the initial meeting this season.
In the last five games, the Heat are 3-2 and reside in the sixth seed in the East with an 18-15 record. Miami has a heavy road schedule upcoming, with 10 of its next 15 contests occurring away from home.
As for the Pistons, they also are 3-2 through the last five matches and continue to sit atop the Eastern Conference ladder with a record of 24-8. Detroit is returning from a five-game road trip and will play seven of its next eight matches at home.

Heat Stats
Miami ranks 13th (115.1) offensively, fourth defensively (112.2), ninth in net rating (+2.9), and runs with a pace of 104.67, which ranks first overall.
The East’s seventh seed averages 120.2 points per game, while their opponents average 117.4 points. In terms of dimes and boards, Miami averages 28.5 (7th) and 45.8 ( 6th), respectively.

Miami Heat vs. Detroit Pistons bottom line:
Over a third of the way into the season, the Pistons have made a strong case as genuine title favorites, or at least the team that’ll come out of the East.
Although both teams have a similar record through the last five contests, it’s the Pistons who are the superior squad. Size should factor in this matchup as the Pistons have a variety of bigs they can throw at Adebayo, which should translate to a strong showing on the boards.

Heat Pistons Free Pick: Bet the under
Here is my Heat Pistons free pick.
Detroit had a bit of a rough road trip, but got back on track with the big win against the Lakers. The one area for concern is that the Pistons have struggled at times to score when Cunningham sits.
With virtually every player now eligible for trade, keep an eye on the Pistons to add some shooting and offense to their strong defense prior to the deadline.
Returning from a lengthy road trip, typically the first home game is rough, but I love the Pistons’ defense and when Miami is dialed in they also shine on that side of the court.
For that reason, I like this match to fall under.
