The Heat enters this match on the second night of a back to back set having hosted the Lakers and lost their first game at home.
Although the Heat led for the majority of the first half they allowed LA to go on a 37-26 run in the third quarter and had a shot to tie the game on the last shot that Miami argued Butler was fouled on but the refs disagreed.
Five Heat players scored in double figures with Jimmy Butler leading the way scoring 23 but missing all five of his 3-point attempts. Goran Dragic missed the last six games with a sore groin and Udonis Haslem (illness) missed the previous six games with both definitely out Saturday. Dion Waiters has been suspended by the team again for insubordination and won’t be eligible to return until December 27th.
Luka Doncic continues to impress and shock fans with his ability to set new NBA records despite only being 20 years old. Last week he surpassed a record Michael Jordan held of 18 consecutive games with 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Doncic has done it 20 times and counting. He achieved the 20th occasion in Mexico City in the Mavericks beat down of the Detroit Pistons by delivering a 41 point, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists triple-double.
Kristaps Porzingis is gaining confidence and the duo is building chemistry each game out. In the win over Detroit, he scored 20 points adding eight rebounds and three blocks.
