Free Memphis Grizzlies vs. Washington Wizards NBA Prediction:
Sunday, February 9th finds the Memphis Grizzlies tipping off versus their hosts the Washington Wizards for the second and final time this season. In the initial meeting on December 14th, the Grizzlies won 128-111.
Last season, the teams played twice and split the matches. The Grizzlies hold the all-time record having bested the Wizards in 25 of their 46 matches
Memphis Grizzlies
The upstart Grizzlies and likely Rookie of the Year, Ja Morant continue to hold on to the eighth seed in the Western Conference being pursued by a chase pack of five clubs.

At the trade deadline, they finally managed to jettison the inactive and disinterested (at least in the Grizzlies) Andre Iguodala to the Miami Heat.
In addition, they offloaded the contracts of Jae Crowder who was the player that instigated the ire of the Knicks and Solomon Hill.
The players who were part of the deadline deals that are coming to the Grizzlies are Jordan Bell, Gorgui Dieng, and Justise Winslow although the latter was out injured in Miami and unlikely to return to court until after the break.
In their last game versus the 76ers, the Grizzlies fell victim to a club desperately in need of a victory. Jonas Valanciunas delivered a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Ja Morant (15), Tyus Jones (13) and Brandon Clarke (11) were the other double-figure contributors.
Team leaders are Jackson Jr. (17.4 points and blocks 1.7), Ja Morant (7.1 assists and steals 1.0). Jonas Valanciunas (10.2 rebounds), and Brandon Clarke for field goal percent (62.0%).
Gorgui Dieng and Jordan Bell are questionable for the match Sunday. Justise Winslow (back) won’t be available until mid-February.
Grayson Allen (hip) is out for the remainder of the season.
Washington Wizards
The Wizards also made a few trade deadline moves bringing in guards Shabazz Napier and Jerome Robinson while sending out Isaiah Thomas.
In the game Friday versus the Dallas Mavericks, Napier suited up and delivered 14 points in 18 minutes. Robinson has yet to make his debut but this match could be the first time the Wizards can get him on the hardwood.
The win versus Dallas was arguably the Wizards best this season although superstar Luka Doncic wasn’t in the game and the Achilles heel of the Mavericks is closing games which Washington took full advantage of.
Bradley Beal felt his All-Star reserve snub was insulting but has mellowed somewhat since his initial reaction. He led his club in the victory with 29 points, eight assists, and five rebounds.
The quintet of Davis Bertans (20), Rui Hachimura (17), Ish Smith (14), Napier (14), and Troy Brown Jr. (10) were the other double-figure contributors.
On the season Beal leads the team in scoring (29.2) and assists (6.3). Troy Brown Jr. tops rebounds (5.7), steals (1.2) and field goal percentage (46.6%), while Ian Mahinmi tops the blocks (1.3) category.
Thomas Bryant (foot) is out Sunday and recently acquired Jerome Robinson is questionable.
John Wall (Achilles) is out for the season.
