Neither ended up happening likely because the Nets want to feature Bridges as a cornerstone and as I noted prior Anunoby never truly felt available (Ujiri spent YEARS searching for a player of his ilk).
That didn’t deter the Grizz from making a move that addressed their perimeter shooting with the addition of Luke Kennard who is a plus 40% perimeter sniper.
Danny Green exits which is slightly surprising given the leadership and experience he offered but perhaps the Grizzlies’ stance changed about retaining the veteran given his lethargic movement on the court since his return.

Offensively, the Grizzlies score 116.2 points per game ranked eighth overall. Memphis shoot 47.1% from the field ranking 19th, and 34.4% from the perimeter ranking 23rd.

Some critics felt it wasn’t a big enough move by Brad Stevens but in Muscala’s debut, he played 16 minutes offering 12 points, a rebound, two assists, and a block and shot a robust 50% from deep connecting on four of his eight 3-point attempts.
There are a lot of teams who would be thrilled to have that kind of reserve production to count on.
