Sunday, April 10th finds the Los Angeles Lakers playing the Denver Nuggets for the third and final meeting this season. The Nuggets are seeking the regular-season series sweep having won the prior contests on January 15th (133-96) and April 3rd (129-118).
The Lakers last played on Friday defeating the Thunder 120-101 while the Nuggets have been off since Thursday when they got a critical 122-109 win versus the Grizzlies to help with their seeding pursuits.

The rise of the Grizzlies, the prowess of the Suns, the improvement of the Celtics, Cavaliers (until injury), Raptors, and Wolves were all signs the NBA is far more exciting with a league built on parity.
It also pointed to the fact, that giving a superstar too much power in determining who a team adds to their roster can result in disaster.
The injury report not surprisingly confirms the Lakers aren’t bothering to run out their superstars (and why should they) in this final game of the year given they’ve been eliminated from postseason play.
Therefore Anthony Davis (foot), LeBron James (ankle), Russell Westbrook (shoulder), and Carmelo Anthony (illness) are out Sunday.
Kendrick Nunn (knee) signed with the Lakers in the offseason and never played a game.
Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets enter this game knowing they are at worst sixth in the Western Conference but still have a shot to move up to fifth.
Both the Jazz and Nuggets have a record of 48-33 but Utah owns the tiebreak and is playing the Blazers who’ve won twice in 22 matches since the All-Star Break as they reinvented the mid-way tank template.
As the Nuggets prepare for the postseason the big news is head coach Michael Malone recently told reporters Jamal Murray still isn’t ruled out to return which would be a very dramatic turn of events.
Nikola Jokic (wrist), Aaron Gordon (hamstring), Monte Morris (elbow), Will Barton (knee), and Zeke Nnaji (hamstring) are listed as questionable for Sunday.
Vlatko Cancar (fractured foot), Jamal Murry (ACL), and Michael Porter Jr. (back surgery) are out indefinitely.
