Free Los Angeles Lakers vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction:
ESPN.com’s Matchup Predictor favors the home Bulls 67 percent of the time, compared to just 33 percent for the Lakers.
Quite frankly, I’m not buying it.
Keep an Eye On LeBron’s Status
The status of LeBron James is the essential X-Factor here. If he’s out, I can buy a Bulls win—even if I wouldn’t say I’d favor them 67 percent of the time.
But here’s the thing: LeBron James wants to play. Yes…he’s doing the math and calculating very, very closely how many games he actually needs to play down the stretch. That’s something few have ever been capable of in a real way, but James is doing it, which is why he’s day-to-day at this point.
That said, if I could put money down on him playing, I’d do it. The Lakers needs him, and it seems like sitting is a last option.
Assuming James plays, I’m not buying the Bulls as favorites in any fashion.
Give this one to the road Lakers both straight up and against the razor-thin spread.
