These might be the two top contenders in the Western Conference so it will be interesting to see how they match up.
Los Angeles is still without Paul George but it is not holding them back too much.
Utah has not got a ton from their new additions yet but they are the best defensive team in the league so far.
Los Angeles Clippers
These teams are going to meet two times in a week, they will be playing at Staples on November 3.
So far there has been a lot to like about L.A. and Kawhi Leonard seems to be settling in just fine.

His presence does not seem to be having a negative effect on the super sub duo of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell. The Clippers have been constructed very interestingly. That’s for sure.
Landry Shamet is enjoying all of the attention those veterans are drawing. He has gotten lots of open looks and is knocking them down so far.
L.A. has some elite defenders in guys like Leonard and Patrick Beverley. Paul George could be one too for them when he is back. That has not translated into good team defense though. At least not yet – 19th in points allowed.
You can see how this L.A. team is going to be a very tough out this season. When games are close they have so many options.
I am looking forward to seeing this one play out.
Utah Jazz
Utah is off to a strong start and even though they have some new faces they are looking like we expect, leading the league in defense, just 91ppg allowed.

Bojan Bogdanovic was brought in to help provide scoring and he has done just that. He led the Jazz with 29 points in their last game and he opens things up with his shooting. He has made a much greater impact their their other new starter Mike Conley Jr.
Still, the presence of both should help Donovan Mitchell continue to grow his game. Mitchell is shooting well and off to a strong start as their best player.
Their most important player is still probably Rudy Gobert. He anchors that defense and adjusts even more shots than he gets his fingers on. He is their top rebounder too. Utah is looking to measure themselves in this one.
