While some thought the blow-out victory by the Clippers in Game 1 meant this series would feature an easy Clippers sweep the Denver Nuggets proved they have the ability to compete when they utilize their size and shooting ability.

Superstar Kawhi Leonard finally suffered an off night after posting seven consecutive 29 points or more scoring efforts. The Nuggets swarmed the talented wingman forcing him into bad shots against height or to pass the ball out to his teammates.
Patrick Beverley was ejected from the game with a little over a minute remaining just as his team had cut the lead to eight points.
The timing of his ejection removed all possibility for the comeback as Denver got an additional two free throws to go along with the two for his personal foul on Jerami Grant.

Nikola Jokic showcased his talent in Game 2 of the series highlighting the weaknesses of the LA Clippers who rely on Ivica Zubac and Montrezl Harrell as their centers.
Jokic and Jamal Murray pounced on the Clippers in the first quarter propelling them to a 44-25 opening frame. Jokic finished with a double-double of 26 points and 18 rebounds while Murray tallied 27 points.
