The only NBA game on Tuesday night will see the Los Angeles Clippers take on the Dallas Mavericks. If you do not want to watch some of the marquee college games, this is want you will want to tune into.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers are easily one of the top teams in the Western Conference and are currently riding a three-game win streak. They are the second seed in the West behind their cross-town rivals, but will be hoping to keep pace with them in hopes they can eventually grab the one seed. The Clippers most recently beat the New Orleans Pelicans 133-130, in a game that was much closer than it probably should have been.
Offensively, the Clippers are right up there with the best in the league. As a team, they average 116.2 points per game. This ranks as the 4th best scoring offense in the NBA. As for shooting, they average 46.6% from the field and 35.9% from the three-point line. Both of these rank in the top half of the league.
It is no surprise that Kawhi Leonard is the scoring leader for the Clippers. He is averaging 26.9 points per game. Paul George is right behind Leonard, averaging 23.2 points per game. Although he has been dealing with an injury for a lot of this season and has played just 26 games. The bad news is that George has now been ruled out indefinitely again, so he could miss more significant time.
Lou Williams is also doing a fantastic job this season and is averaging 20 points per game. Furthermore, the Clippers have Montrezl Harrell, who averages 19.3 points per game. So really when healthy, this Clippers team should be considered a legit title contender with how deep their roster is.

Overall, the Clippers are only slightly above average in terms of defense. They are allowing 109.6 points per game, which is 14th in the league. Teams shoot just 43.9% from the field, the 5th best mark.
Defense was not as sharp in their last game, as they allowed 130 points to the Pelicans. With Dallas potentially getting Porzingis back, they are going to have to do a better job of limiting points in the paint if they want to win this game.
Dallas Mavericks
The Mavericks won their fourth straight game last time out against the Portland Trail Blazers. With that win, they have overtaken the Rockets and have moved into the fifth seed.
Dallas continues to be one of the best scoring team in the NBA. They have the 3rd best scoring offense and are averaging 116.7 points per game. During their four-game win streak, they are averaging 120 points per game, so their offense is only improving. Note that Kristaps Porzingis has been out too and Dallas is still lighting up the scoreboard.
The good news for the Mavericks is Porzingis is listed as probable, so he is most likely set to return against the Clippers.
Dallas has a very similar defense compared to the Clippers as they allow an average of 109.4 points per game. They are best at defending the three, holding teams to 33.5% from deep range. However, over the past two games, their defense is allowing 117.5 points per game, so facing a top tiered Clippers team could be trouble.
