Lakers Magic Free Pick: Lakers -2.5
Here is my Lakers Magic free pick.
Each team headed into the break needing major tweaks to their strategy. For the Lakers they needed to figure out a pecking order on offense in terms of shot volume and up their defensive effort.
For the Magic, they needed to work on the offense which could get down right stagnant at times and commit to defending consistently.
Orlando benefitted from an easy segment of opponents, but with the streak over, they are struggling to beat the upper echelon.
Both clubs seemed to have achieved those goals as they’ve each returned from the break going on winning streaks.
However, the recent losing by Orlando wasn’t just “we had a few bad outings”, they seem to have hit a real crisis offensively and still don’t have Franz Wagner back (although he is a game-time decision).
All that to say, take the Lakers to win and cover.
