Indiana has refused to call it a year and chalk this one up as a loss. Domantas Sabonis has real Sixth Man of the Year potential in an under-the-radar category with a lot of lowkey competition. The rest of the roster has stepped up in Dipo’s absence.
Although my personal take is that I need to see it before I believe it (I’d personally take the flaky Celtics or hit/miss Sixers over the Pacers in a seven-game series), I can’t deny that what we’ve seen so far this year—both before and after Oladipo’s injury—has been impressive.

C McCollum went down with a scary leg injury Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs and had an MRI done on Sunday. He said on Saturday that the leg didn’t feel “normal” and Rip City began to fear the worst.
As it turns out, it’s being labeled as a strain and he will be re-evaluated in a week.
