The Pacers continue to hang tight with the beasts of the East and got a huge win over the 76ers at home in their most recent game. Like several top East squads, they don’t have the same prowess on the road (9-10) as they do at home.

Despite being without Joel Embiid, Philly took an early lead over the Pacers who have played all season without their star Victor Oladipo who says he should be back by the end of the month.
In the victory over the 76ers, the Pacers had to come from behind after coughing up a 26-19 second quarter. Indiana clawed back winning both the third (29-20) and fourth (32-26) quarters to net the 101-95 victory.
Malcolm Brogdon who has been in and out of the lineup with various injuries was impressive with 21 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists.
The Pacers’ big men both delivered double-doubles with Myles Turner posting 14 points and 10 rebounds while Domantas Sabonis had 10 points and 16 rebounds.
TJ Warren (21) points and Justin Holiday (14) were the other double-figure contributors.
TJ Warren leads the team in scoring (18.0), Malcolm Brogdon for assists (7.5), Justin Holiday for steals (1.0) and Myles Turner leads for blocks (2.1).
Sabonis tops the ladder for rebounding (13.1) and field goal percent (52.2%). He’s nursing a sore knee which makes him questionable for Wednesday’s match.
Naz Mitrou-Long is out indefinitely with a right ankle sprain.
Minnesota Timberwolves
The Wolves became part of history on Monday although not in a good way. Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander became the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double that included 20 points and 20 rebounds (he also had 10 assists) to usurp Shaquille O’Neal from the top spot.
In the loss, Naz Reid almost single-handedly brought back the Wolves going on a personal 15-0 run in the second half. He finished with 20 points
Robert Covington (18), Shabazz Napier (16), Jarrett Culver (14) and Andrew Wiggins (10) were the other double-digit contributors.
Karl-Anthony Towns missed his 14th consecutive game with a left knee sprain and is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s match.
Andrew Wiggins leads the team in scoring (23.2 points), while Towns is tops for rebounding (11.7) and field goal percentage (51.4 percent).
Jeff Teague leads the team with 6.2 assists and Robert Covington tops both steals (1.7) and blocks (1.0) categories.
Jake Layman (toe sprain) remains out with no definitive return date.
