Indiana Pacers
Indiana is offering a big return as a division winner in the futures markets. Of course, it is a full six games back of Milwaukee, which looks like it may not lose ten games until the final month of the season.

For Indiana to catch Milwaukee would require a Giannis Antetokounmpo injury but the price is rewarding enough that a small stake could be worth the high chance of losing.
Of course, Victor Oladipo’s return looms. If he comes back healthy, there is little reason to think that an unselfish, defensive stopper with clutch genes on the offensive end won’t make Indiana a lot better.
Then again, he may not come back with the same athleticism he has always had. He will also start taking at least as many shots as anyone else. Indiana currently had three guys who average between fourteen and fifteen field goal attempts per game, plus Jeremy Lamb, who takes thirteen per.
Atlanta Hawks
In last place in the worst division in the NBA, the Hawks are bound for the NBA Lottery again but looking too much at wins and losses will take away from the long-term vision for this team.

In addition to Trae Young, who is a full-fledged superstar in his second season, averaging over twenty-eight points per game and eight assists, Atlanta has two lottery pick rookies from the 2019 draft.
DeAndre Hunter is two years older than Cam Reddish but both have seen plenty of minutes this season and are both starting most of the time at this point.
Hunter scored a career-best twenty-seven points in the middle of November against Milwaukee before dropping twenty-eight on Tuesday in Miami. Like in his initial career-high in Milwaukee, Hunter’s Hawks lost on Tuesday. It was the third time this season he played at least forty minutes in a game.
Reddish hit double-figures just once in his first eleven games but he’s come on a bit of late. He’s had five in his last ten games, including twenty-five in a loss to Brooklyn earlier this month.
John Collins will return after six more games and the Hawks will be a little more competitive. Letting the rookies cut their teeth and find their way within the fabric of the team is more important than anything else this season, however.
