Wednesday, October 26th, the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets will compete for the second time this season finishing their home and home series. The teams will play once more this season in Houston on January 5th.
Last season, the squads played four times with the Jazz winning three of the four contests. The Jazz holds the all-time record having won 112 matches of the 212 played.

My reason for picking the Rockets to end the Jazz win streak was two-fold. First, teams whose season goal is to win the lottery will always have those bingo balls and seeding in mind.
The front office is where that objective was defined while the players may have a different agenda on their minds and it will fall to the head coach to ensure ownership and management get what they want.
So while the Jazz got out to a stellar start ensuring they lose to other tanking teams is a real thing.
The other key is the Rockets have strengths in categories that abate the Jazz strengths or enhance their weaknesses. Utah was shooting lights out from the perimeter but Houston held them to 34.4 percent.
Rookie Jabari Smith Jr. got into a sideline argument with Jalen Green but both were key to the victory. Smith offered 21 points, nine rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and hit three of his five 3-pointers.
Green contributed 25 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Kevin Porter Jr. registered a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds along with four assists, two steals, and a block.
Jae’Sean Tate (ankle), and Alperen Sengun (illness) are questionable for Wednesday. Bruno Fernando (knee), and TyTy Washington Jr. (knee) are out indefinitely.
Utah Jazz
A loss was inevitable the question was just to whom and when. In regards to Utah not shooting to their prior average on the perimeter partial credit goes to the Rockets’ eager defense. However, heavy legs might’ve been equally responsible.
Evidence of the latter would be their free throw shooting which also suffered (56.3 percent).
Six players scored in double-figures but no one scored more than 17 (Jordan Clarkson). Jarred Vanderbilt delivered a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Despite their struggles, the Jazz kept the match close but the 16 to 32 free throw disparity was the difference.
Udoka Azubuike (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday.

As I predicted the Rockets ended the Jazz’s unbeaten streak. But, in the same vein of thought for why that would happen, I suspect lightning won’t strike twice for the same reasons why I predicted the former so I’m leaning toward the Jazz taking this match although the spread is a bit high.
