Two of the association’s best clubs the Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors look to get back on track after both lost their last match. It’s the first meeting between the squads this season.
Last season, the teams played twice with the Rockets sweeping the series following the Raptors sweeping them the season prior. The Rockets hold the all-time record having bested the Raptors in 27 of their 47 matches

The Rockets followed up a 158-111 victory over the Hawks by giving up a 22 point lead to the Spurs who won 135-133 in double overtime.

James Harden put up 50 points and didn’t miss any of his 24 attempts from the charity stripe (an NBA record), however, he was highly inefficient shooting 11 for 38 from the field.
Clint Capela produced a 22 point, 21 rebound double-double while Russell Westbrook posted a 19 point, 10 rebounds, 10 assists triple-double.
The trio of Austin Rivers (19), Ben McLemore (11) and PJ Tucker (10) also registered double-figure scores.
Harden leads the team in scoring (39.4), assists (7.8) and steals (1.8) while Capela leads in rebounding (15.1), field goal percent (65.7) and blocks (2.0).
McLemore left the Spurs game due to an eye laceration making him questionable for Thursday. Likewise, Danuel House Jr. (illness) who missed the last two games is questionable.
Eric Gordon (knee) is out until late December. Gerald Green will be out until early May after surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot. Nene (groin) remains out with an uncertain return date.
Toronto Raptors
Kyle Lowry returned after an 11 game absence and the rust showed. However, the Raptors bulldog filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, 11 assists, six rebounds, a steal, and a block.

With Ibaka and Lowry back after missing 10 and 11 games respectively the team needs to get back into a flow. In the loss to Miami, Norman Powell (23) led the team in scoring while Pascal Siakam joined Lowry with his double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Fred VanVleet (19), Marc Gasol (14) and Serge Ibaka (13) each recorded double-figure scoring.
Siakam leads the team in scoring (25.1 points) and rebounding (8.6). Fred VanVleet is the leader for assists (7.4) and steals (2.0). OG Anunoby holds the team’s best field goal percent (53.2) and Marc Gasol is the top block man with 1.0 per game.
Patrick McCaw (knee) and Stanely Johnson (groin) are expected back mid-December while Matt Thomas (broken finger) is out until the end of the month.

Houston will be looking to make up what they felt was a bad call that cost them the ‘W’ in San Antonio.
Expect both teams to fire away from the perimeter with Houston ranking first in attempts (46) per game and 26th for efficiency. Toronto ranks second for perimeter efficiency (39.8) and seventh in attempts (36.5).
Both teams shot poorly from deep in their last game so the team who improves in this area will have the advantage. Houston ranks 15th in perimeter defense while the Raptors rank 5th.
