Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets sit comfortably on pace for home court advantage in the 1st round of the playoffs. After a rough 1st half of the year, Houston has surged to the #3 seed, 3.5 GB from Golden State for the #1 seed.
With just 5 games to play, the Rockets will focus on holding on to the #3 or #4 seed as they have a 2.5 game lead over the Jazz and Clippers who are in 5th and 6th respectively. The Rockets are still playing great basketball though, going 7-3 over their last 10.
The Rockets and Kings should be very familiar with each other after meeting up Friday night. Houston got the W 119-108 to put their H2H record vs. Sacramento to 3-0 on the year. The 11 point loss was the closes Sacramento has come all season long.

Houston also has a 127-101 win in Sacramento this season 132-112 win over the Kings back at the Toyota Center. The Rockets have put up a ton of points with the Kings up tempo offense increasing the pace and hence the reason for Tuesday’s 227 O/U – which even looks on the low side.

Sacramento Kings
The Kings are the 1st team out of the playoffs as they’ll likely finish in the #9 spot in the Western Conference. Sacramento might not be a horrible bet Tuesday considering they play at home for the first time in nearly 10 days after a five game road swing.
The Kings are 23-15 at home this season and have won 3 of 4 at the Golden 1 Center. Sacramento didn’t play horrible on their road trip going 2-3, but they’ll also be playing in their third game in four nights after a win in San Antonio on Sunday. Houston will have had 2 nights off since the teams met up Saturday.

As stated, Sacramento has been heavily overmatched vs. the Rockets this season losing all three contests by double digits including two 20+ point losses. The defense hasn’t found a way to contain Harden or Capela, and overall Sacramento has allowed 115+ in 3 of the last 4.
De’Aaron Fox has also been largely held in check by the Rockets defense this year scoring just 18, 19, and 6 in the three games. There will be even more of a burden on Buddy Hield, especially with Marvin Bagley III being questionable to play Tuesday with an illness.
