The Houston Rockets will play their fourth game, out of six, against an Eastern Conference opponent in this one on Sunday evening.
The East hasn’t been a breeze for the team with Vegas’ highest win total entering the season so far. Houston’s only win came by one point, in overtime, against the Washington Wizards.
Houston Rockets
Houston lost in Brooklyn on Friday night, 123–116. James Harden scored thirty-six points, which was right at his average coming into the game.

He continued to struggle from three-point range, where he was shooting just 22 percent entering the game (3-for-13.5 on average), and finished the game in Brooklyn 2/16 from outside.
Russell Westbrook came into the game averaging twenty-two points, twelve rebounds, and ten assists in his first four games as a Rocket but failed to notch a triple-double against the Nets. He finished with 27/7/8.
So Houston has one day off to travel down to Miami and get ready to play the Heat. Then it gets back on the plane and flies off to Memphis for its first back-to-back on Monday night against the Grizzlies.
Miami Heat
Miami, meanwhile, has a kinder schedule for this one. It hasn’t been in action since October 31, when it completed the home-road sweep of the Hawks, 106–97.

The rookie Tyler Herro scored seventeen points in thirty minutes off the bench for Miami and that performance came two nights after dropping 29 on the Hawks in Miami. He’s averaging over 16 points per game as the Heat’s sixth man.
Kendrick Nunn, a 24-year-old rookie, led the game in scoring with a season-high 28 points. Nunn had taken an indirect route to where he is today after getting in trouble at Illinois and sitting out a year to transfer to Oakland.
He went undrafted in 2018 but signed with the Warriors’ G-League affiliate before signing on with the Heat this year. He’s impressed along the way with Miami and has found himself in the starting lineup as as result.
Justise Winslow didn’t play against Atlanta with a tweaked back but he should be good to go in this one.

Free Houston Rockets vs. Miami Heat NBA Prediction: Houston but not by enough.
Even if it’s a pick, I’m staying away. I lean Houston but Miami has played quite well in the early-going and I wouldn’t be willing to lay anything that says the Rockets win this game on the road.
