Saturday, November 9th finds interconference foes the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls facing each other for the first time this year.
Last season, the squads played twice with the Rockets sweeping the series and are currently on a six-game win streak over the Bulls. The Rockets hold the all-time record having bested the Bulls in 70 of their 138 matches.
Houston Rockets
November has been an interesting month for the Rockets who suffered two bad losses followed by two victories. The losses included the Nets game and an absolute rout by the Heat.

The wins followed in a close victory over the Grizzlies and a rout of their own over the undermanned Warriors.
In the latter, three Rockets produced double-doubles as James Harden led the way with 36 points and 13 assists. PJ Tucker chipped in with 22 points and 11 rebounds while Clint Capela notched his double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds.
Russell Westbrook (18), Danuel House Jr. (17), and Austin Rivers (12) were the other double-digit contributors.
Capela (sore shoulder) is probable. Eric Gordon missed the last game suffering from left hamstring soreness and is questionable for this match. Gerald Green (foot) is out until May and Nene has (left adductor strain) has no definitive return date.
Chicago Bulls
It’s been an interesting week for the Bulls who got routed by the Pacers, led the Lakers who needed a vintage LeBron James performance to pull out the victory and Chicago then flipped the script by routing the Hawks.

Zach LaVine wasn’t the leading scorer but he put on quite the dunk show versus the Hawks while scoring 10 points, dishing four assists and grabbed eight rebounds.
Six Bulls did hit double-digit scoring including Tomas Satoransky who put together his strongest outing as a Bull had a line of 27 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds.
Lauri Markkanen (17), Otto Porter Jr. (13), Kris Dunn (13), and Coby White (10) were the other double-digit contributors.
Otto Porter Jr. had to leave the game versus Indiana after tweaking his ankle but returned in the next game versus the Lakers where he suffered a foot contusion and now is questionable for this match.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Rockets are 7-3 in the last 10 head to head contests.
- The teams are 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games.
- Over Under is 4-6 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups.
Free Houston Rockets vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction:
The Rockets boast the third-best offense but rank 28th on defense. The Bulls aren’t excelling on either end of the hardwood ranking 22nd on offense and 15th on defense.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick:
Houston is a team of disparity, on one hand, they are an offensive juggernaut who takes the most 3-point shots and gets to the line the second most times in the league. On the other hand, they allow the third most assists and rebounds while letting teams shoot the second best from behind the arc.
If the Bulls keep them Rockets moving via versatility in their offense while also locking down defensively they’ll have a shot. But, if they don’t bring effort on defense and Houston gets hot Chicago will be in trouble.
All that said, the Rockets (and more specifically Russell Westbrook) aren’t going to be keen to lose against teams they should beat so after two days rest I expect Houston to get out to an early lead and maintain it throughout.
