Friday, November 22, finds the Golden State Warriors facing their Western Conference counterparts the Utah Jazz in their second meeting of the season. Utah took the first contest 122-108.
Last season, the squads played three times with the Jazz winning two of the three contests. The Jazz holds the all-time record having bested the Warriors in 109 of their 185 matches.
Golden State Warriors
It’s not like Luka Doncic hasn’t been putting on a show this season versus every team he plays but the Warriors fell prey to arguably his most dominant performance of the season in their 142-94 loss. Doncic registered a 35 point, 10 rebound, 11 assist triple-double in 25 minutes.

Of the eight players who dressed for the game versus the Mavericks, not one played for the Warriors last season.
Despite the blowout, five Warriors scored in double-figures. Eric Paschall led the way with 22 points. Ky Bowman scored 16 and a quintet of players scored 11. They include Alec Burks, Jordan Poole, Omari Spellman, and Marquese Chriss.
As for the seven players on the injury list, only Draymond Green is potentially available for Friday after sitting out versus Dallas due to soreness in his heel.
D’Angelo Russell (right thumb), Damion Lee ( non-displaced fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his right hand), Jacob Evans (left adductor strain), and Alen Smailagic (ankle sprain) are all out at least until early December.
Stephen Curry (hand fracture) is out until early February and Klay Thompson (knee) will miss the season.
Utah Jazz
Although the defense is on track the Jazz still struggles to get up points on a consistent basis. With Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic joining the starting unit and Joe Ingles moving to the bench it will simply take time for the Jazz to mesh until the offense hums at the same level.

However, defense will keep you in games and often be the reason victories are achieved. Thus was the case versus the explosive Timberwolves who the Jazz held under 100 points and was the first team to do so this season in their 103-95 victory.
Bojan Bogdanovic led the team in scoring with 30 points while Donovan Mitchell chipped in 26 points. Rudy Gobert produced a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Mike Conley offered up 16 points and Jeff Green scored 10 points.
Ed Davis (fractured left fibula) will miss up to four weeks which will keep him out until early December.
