Tuesday, January 15 finds the Golden State Warriors facing the. Denver Nuggets as they meet for the second time in the 2018-19 regular season. Both teams last played Sunday with the Warriors winning a dog fight in Dallas while Denver won a shootout in Portland versus the Blazers.

Last season, the teams split their four-game series while Denver took the initial meeting this year. The Nuggets hold the all-time record having bested the Warriors in 95 of their 173 matches.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors were lucky to steal a 119-115 win in Dallas. Golden State needed every one of Stephen Curry’s 11 triples and 48 points in the highly competitive match.

Curry took over at game end scoring the Dubs final seven points to seal the victory and did this while navigating five personal fouls.

Draymond Green hurt his knee in the Dallas game but is listed as probable. Damian Jones is lost for the season with a torn left pectoral muscle.

Meanwhile, DeMarcus Cousins nears a return to the court potentially this week and will start when he does as per Steve Kerr.

Denver Nuggets

While the Nuggets have spent the better part of the season dealing with copious injuries to core contributors Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray have kept the Nuggets in the win column.

With most of their players back healthy, however, once again it was Jokic and Murray who lifted Denver to victory over the Blazers.

The Joker just missed out on another triple-double scoring 40 points while adding 10 rebounds and eight assists.

Murray contributed 24 points playing through a shot to the face in the first half. He returned to hit the game-winning shot and ice the win at the charity stripe.

Trey Lyles (sprained right wrist) hasn’t played in two games and is questionable for Tuesday. Gary Harris (hamstring tightness) missed his fourth consecutive game and is also questionable for the Warriors game.

Isaiah Thomas is expected to make a return this month while Jarred Vanderbilt and Michael Porter Jr. remain out indefinitely.
