Saturday, November 2 finds the Denver Nuggets meeting the Orlando Magic for the first time this 2019-20 season.
Last season, the squads played twice with the Nuggets winning both contests. The Magic holds the all-time record having bested the Nuggets in 32 of their 61 matches.

That fact was made extremely clear with the loss to the previously winless New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday which moved Denver to a 3-2 record after they got out to a hot 2-0 opening week.
This followed a heartbreaking three-point loss to the upstart Dallas Mavericks. So now the Nuggets are looking to salvage their week with a win in Orlando.
Despite the loss in New Orleans, the Nuggets showcased their depth utilizing several members of the reserve unit including Michael Porter Jr. who finally got his first taste of NBA action.
MPJ led the reserve scoring with 15 points which was also a team-high. He was joined by Jerami Grant (14), Malik Beasley (11) and Mason Plumlee (10). Starters Jamal Murray (14), Nikola Jokic (13) and Paul Millsap (10) also scored in double-digits.
Will Barton (left toe inflammation) missed the last game and is questionable for Saturday. Bol Bol (foot) is out.
Orlando Magic
The Magic got back on track at home defeating the New York Knicks after suffering a tough loss in Toronto. They’ll play Friday night versus the Bucks in what will be their first back-to-back set this season.

In the game versus the Knicks, Nikola Vucevic recovered from a sub par effort in Toronto leading the team in scoring and registering a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds. Aaron Gordon also produced a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Gordon finally breaking out offensively was a very welcome sign as he’s struggled to start the season.
Orlando is among the league best defensively ranking third overall. The Magic are tied for fifth in opponent field goal percentage (41.3) and second in perimeter defense where they hold teams to an amoebic 26.1 percent.
Michael Carter-Williams is out Friday with a left hip contusion so he will likely also miss this match. Mo Bamba is out on Friday for rest so presumably will suit up Saturday. Chuma Okeke is out for the season rehabbing a torn ACL.
