The Nuggets limped into Houston missing starters Jamal Murray, Paul Millsap, and Gary Harris as well as two core contributors. While Denver has great depth that was a lot of production to offset coupled with the Rockets being desperate to stop their four-game losing skid.

Nikola Jokic did his best to offset the Rockets firepower but couldn’t do everything on his own. The center produced a triple-double of 19 points, 10 assists, and 12 rebounds.
Jerami Grant (17), PJ Dozier (15), Torrey Craig (14), Malik Beasley (12), and Monte Morris (11) were the other double-figure contributors.
Nikola Jokic leads four main categories with 19.4 points 6.4 assists, 10.0 rebounds, and 50.9 percent field goal percentage. The hustle categories are led by Jamal Murray for steals (1.4) and Jerami Grant for blocks (0.7).
Heading into Friday, injuries remain an issue with Michael Porter Jr. (back tightness) and Gary Harris (groin) questionable to play.

New Orleans Pelicans
Zion Williamson made his much anticipated debut Wednesday and while the rust showed early it didn’t take long to shake off as he went off for 17 consecutive fourth-quarter points in just three minutes.
This included the rookie going four of four from behind the arc making him the first rookie in NBA history to accomplish that feat in their first game.
Although Williamson’s erased the 12 point lead the Spurs began the final frame with coach Alvin Gentry had to take the rookie out in order to comply with the medical staff recommendations. That was all the Spurs needed to close out the match.
Brandon Ingram and Williamson both scored 22 points to lead the Pelicans in the match.
Derrick Favors (11 points and 10 rebounds) and Lonzo Ball (14 points and 12 assists) both registered double-double efforts. The latter coming just shy of the triple-double with eight assists.
Jrue Holiday (12), Josh Hart (10) and JJ Redick (10) all chipped in with double-figure scoring offering balanced scoring for the Pelicans.
On the season, Brandon Ingram leads the team in four stat categories including scoring (25.5), rebounds (6.6) and field goal percent (47.1%) and steals (0.9). Lonzo Ball leads assists (6.4) and Jaxson Hayes tops the block (1.2) category.
It’s the healthiest the Pelcians have been in some time with only two players still on the injured list. Kenrich Williams is dealing with lower back soreness while Darius Miller continues to recover from a ruptured Achilles tendon.
