James Harden was out for the Rockets but the Nuggets were missing several core contributors. It wasn’t a pretty game as Denver committed 26 turnovers.
Despite falling down 26-27 in the opening quarter the Nuggets came back winning each of the three remaining quarters and inevitably the game 117-110.
Nikola Jokic delivered a triple-double of 24 points, 11 assists, and 12 rebounds.
Five other Nuggets registered double-figure scoring including Jerami Grant (25), Michael Porter Jr. (17), Monte Morris (17), Will Barton (11), and Malik Beasley (10).
Nikola Jokic leads four main categories with 19.7 points 6.5 assists, 10.1 rebounds, and 50.7 percent field goal percentage. The hustle categories are led by Jamal Murray for steals (1.4) and Jerami Grant for blocks (0.7).
Murray (ankle) missed his sixth game while Paul Millsap (knee) missed his 10th with both listed as out indefinitely.
Mason Plumlee (cuboid injury/right foot) is out until late February while Bol Bol (foot) remains out indefinitely.
Memphis Grizzlies
Through the last 13 games, the Grizzlies have won 10 games including a season-long seven-game win streak. More importantly, Memphis followed up two losses with two big victories in week 14.
They’ve beat elite clubs, won both at home and on the road, via ousts and in the clutch and in the process became arguably the most fun team in the association to watch.
That they were able to bounce back from the two losses that ended their seven-game win streak speaks to their improving maturity but mostly this squad simply enjoys playing together and that fact is palpable when watching them play.
In the 114-109 win over the Suns three Grizzly’s scored 20 or more including rookie Ja Morant (23), Jaren Jackson Jr. (20) and Dillon Brooks (20).
The other trio to collect double-figures was Jonas Valanciunas (12), Brandon Clarke (10) and De’Anthony Melton (10).
Grizzlies team leaders are Jaren Jackson Jr. leads scoring (18.0 points) and blocks (1.5), Ja Morant in assists (7.1), Jonas Valanciunas for rebounds (10.0), Brandon Clarke field goal percent (62.2) and Dillon Brooks for steals (1.0).
Jae Crowder (knee) missed the match in Houston and is questionable for Tuesday, Bruno Caboclo (knee) won’t return until February and Grayson Allen (hip) is out indefinitely.

Free Denver Nuggets vs. Memphis Grizzlies NBA Prediction:
It’s a rare coin toss with an even line but not as easy to pick as it seems given the Nuggets injuries and competitiveness of this young Grizzly squad.
