However, the problem is unless his 14 teammates are locked into the same headspace it’s an uphill climb no other team has ever accomplished. Consider the fact LA would have to win twice at Ball Arena in altitude — a venue where no one has won a game this entire postseason.
LeBron and Anthony Davis are averaging 41 and 41.6 minutes respectively in this series and were both looking fatigued in segments of Game 3.
Stats
On the negative side, LA allows opponents to score an average of 116.6 points per game ranking 20th. Their opponents shoot 46.9% from the field and 34.4% from behind the arc ranking 10th and second respectively.
Another key point is the Lakers score 117.2 points per game which rank sixth-best while shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from the perimeter ranking 10th and 25th respectively.

Moreover, the minutes LeBron and AD are logging are showing especially in the fourth quarter and the Nuggets are a club that can fall behind by double-digits and make it up in a flash.
Another question is whether the officials will blatantly ignore the Lakers fouling the Nuggets while dishing out ticky-tack calls (at least two of Jokic’s fouls were phantom calls).
Originally, I leaned into LeBron not going down in a sweep but the more I thought about it the fact the Heat can also sweep I think it offers Jokic the motivation to finish this series Monday so they get at least one extra day of rest over Miami.
With that, I’m picking Jokic and Co. to earn the sweep and their first trip to the NBA Finals in Nuggets history.
