In the win over the Spurs, the Mavericks almost coughed up the big lead but held on to collect their 36th victory of the season.
Doncic was huge registering a triple-double of 26 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds while Kristaps Porzingis added a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds.
Doncic’s triple-double was his 13th this season which leads the league. It was also the 21st of his career tying Jason Kidd for the most in franchise history.
In the win over the Spurs, Luka Doncic made history as he tied Jason Kidd’s all-time triple-double franchise record.
Tim Hardaway Jr scored 17 points while Dorian Finney-Smith chipped in 14.
On the season Luka Doncic is the team leader in scoring (28.7 points), rebounds (9.6) as well as assists (8.7), and field goal percentage (46.4%) while Delon Wright leads steals (1.1) and Kristaps Porzingis tops the block category (1.9).
Luka Doncic sustained a thumb injury in the game versus the Spurs and is questionable for Friday. Willie Cauley-Stein (personal) missed the last three games and is questionable for Friday.
Jalen Brunson (shoulder sprain) is out until early March. Dwight Powell (ruptured Achilles tendon) is gone for the season.
Miami Heat
The hot start to the season for Miami has cooled with four losses in their last five games and the team struggling in ways they didn’t early.

In the loss, Bam Adebayo delivered a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Kendrick Nunn topped the scoring with 24 points while Jimmy Butler produced 18 points and nine rebounds.
The trio of Goran Dragic (16), Derrick Jones Jr. (14), and Kelly Olynyk (11) were the other double-figure contributors.
The two All-Stars on the Heat lead all team categories with Butler topping scoring (20.6), assists (6.2) and steals (1.8) and Bam Adebayo tops in rebounding (10.6) blocks (1.2) and field goal percent (57.5%).
Although nursing a sore ankle Bam Adebayo is expected to play versus the Mavericks.
Tyler Herro and Meyers Leonard are both dealing with ankle injuries and have each missed the last nine games. Neither will play on Friday nor do they have a set return date.
Kyle Alexander (hyperextended right knee and a PCL sprain) are all out with no definitive return date.
