Free Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons NBA Prediction:
Monday, January 27th, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons meet for the fourth and final time this season. The Pistons won two of the three meetings this season.
Last season, the teams played four times with the Pistons winning three of the four matches. The Pistons hold the all-time record having bested the Cavaliers in 129 of their 221 matches.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Although the Cavaliers are producing on the offensive side of the court they’ve failed to notch any victories because they struggle on the defensive side of the hardwood. In particular, one bad quarter every game ends up being the reason behind most losses.

In the loss Saturday to the Bulls it was two failed quarters; the second (34-26) and a harmful third quarter where the Bulls put up 40 points on the Cavaliers who only produced 19 in the frame.
Despite rallying late with a 30-19 fourth quarter it was too little too late and resulted in the team’s seventh consecutive loss.
Kevin Love led his team producing a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Larry Nance Jr. also put up 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Collin Sexton and Cedi Osman each scored 18 points while Darius Garland chipped in with 13 points.
On the season the team leaders are Collin Sexton for scoring (19.3) and steals (1.0), Darius Garland for assists (3.6). Tristan Thompson leads three stat categories including rebounds (10.4), field goal percentage (51.0%) as well as blocks (1.0).
Kevin Porter Jr. has missed 11 of the last 12 games with the last 10 due to a sprained knee but is expected to suit up for Monday’s game.
Brandon Knight (knee) is out until mid-February. Ante Zizic (illness) is out indefinitely and Dylan Windler (shin) is expected to miss the season.
Detroit Pistons
Home court hasn’t worked to the Pistons advantage as they’ve won just twice in their last 10 home dates with the two victories coming versus the Kings and Wizards. One of the eight home losses was against the Cavaliers in a 115-112 overtime defeat.
Against Brooklyn, the Pistons posted 60 first-half points to take a 10 point lead but coughed up a 30-17 third quarter and ended up headed to overtime where they lost 121-111 by virtue of a 15 to 5 extra frame.
In the loss, Andre Drummond delivered a huge 21 point, 20 rebound double-double. Derrick Rose led the way scoring 27 points.
The trio of youngsters Svi Mykhailiuk (19). Bruce Brown (17) and Christian Wood (10) were the other double-figure contributors.
On the season Derrick Rose leads in points (18.8) and assists (6.0). Drummond leads the remaining four team categories including 15.8 rebounds, 52.7% field goal percentage, 2.0 steals, and 1.8 blocks.
Reggie Jackson returned to action this past week playing in two of the matches (Kings and Grizzlies) averaging 18 points, three rebounds and five assists but his back is sore again which may keep him out Monday.
Derrick Rose (knee) is probable while Tony Snell (illness) is questionable. Luke Kennard (knee), Khyri Thomas (foot) and Blake Griffin (arthroscopic knee surgery) are all out.
NBA Betting Trends:

- The Cavaliers are 6-4 in last 10 head to head
- Over Under is 8-2 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups
