Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat Odds & Last 5
Last year, the Bulls dominated the season series, sweeping the three-game set. This season, it’s the reverse so far, with Miami up 2-0 and two games left to play.
In the last five contests, the Bulls are 2-3, although they’ve lost three games in a row, which followed a four-game winning streak. Chicago resides in the 10th seed with a 23-25 record.
They are in a virtual tie with the Hawks and 2.5 games out of eighth. This match marks the beginning of a road-heavy stint, as Chicago will play six of their next seven matches on the road.
Miami is 3-2 through the last five matches, emulating how their season has gone as they vacillate between strong showings and sputtering. The Heat sit in the eighth seed with a record of 26-23.
Philly is a game ahead of them in the standings, while the Heat are in a virtual tie with the Magic who won on Friday. This match marks the start of a three-game homestand, which will be followed by six of eight matches on the road.
Miami is favored to win by 5.5 points with an over/under of 235.5 points.

Bulls Heat Free Pick: Heat -5.5
Here is my Bulls Heat free pick.
The two key factors that helped Miami win on Thursday were points in the paint and fast break scoring. Miami took the fast break points 19 to 7 while they absolutely dominated the paint, outscoring the Bulls 60 to 38.
Once again, watch for pace to be a factor as the Heat will try to push the tempo while the Bulls won’t shy away from returning the favor.
Both teams have a player hoping to hear his name on February 1st when the reserves for the All-Star Game are announced. Bam Adebayo typically gets the nod in Miami but Norman Powell got the shaft last season and deserves a spot this year. On Chicago it’s Josh Giddey who’ll be anxiously awaiting the results.
Despite leading the match for 98% of the game on Thursday, the Heat had to hold off the Bulls in the fourth quarter when they went on a 21 to 12 run to cut the 12-point lead.
The problem is the Bulls are devastated with injuries, so they won’t have anything close to a full rotation to deal with the physicality of the Heat.
I vacillated on the spread but eventually succumbed — take the Heat to win and cover.
