Chicago Bulls vs. Houston Rockets Odds & Last 5
Last year, the Rockets won the season series, sweeping the Bulls 2-0, and have a current three-game win streak versus Chicago. This is the first meeting between the clubs this season.
Chicago has been up and down all season, seemingly tied to the play-in section of the ladder. They currently sit in the 10th spot with a record of 18-20, a half game out of ninth and holding a 1.5 lead over the Bucks.
Through the last 13 matches, the Bulls are 2-3, sandwiching a three-game losing streak between an 8-5 run.
Houston’s recent struggles have seen it fall down the ladder into the seventh seed. They are 1-4 through the last five contests, with all four losses on the road. The Rockets possess a record of 22-14, a half-game out of fifth.
Houston is favored by 10.5 points with an over/under of 228.5 points.
Bulls Stats
Chicago ranks tied for 23rd offensively (113.2), 24th defensively (116.9), and 24th in net rating (-3.7), running a pace of 102.95, which ranks third overall.

The West’s seventh seed averages 117.9 points per game, while its opponents average 110.8 points. In terms of dimes and boards, Houston averages 25.1 (22nd) and 49.1 (1st), respectively.
Team leaders are Kevin Durant for scoring (26.1), Alperen Sengun for assists (6.4), rebounds (9.0), steals (1.5), and blocks (1.0).

Chicago Bulls vs. Houston Rockets bottom line: Houston is a Jekyll and Hyde team that feasts at home (11-2) but struggles mightily on the road (11-12). Since December 1st, they were 3-10 in their 13 road games.
Fortunately, they return home for this contest, which should unleash the Rockets squad, who held the third seed briefly.
Chicago Bulls vs. Houston Rockets Basketball Betting Trends
- Chicago is 5-12 SU in its last 17 games against Houston.
- The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Chicago’s last 10 games.
- Chicago is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games on the road.
- Also, Houston is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games.
- The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Houston’s last 6 games.
- Additionally, Houston is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games.
Bulls Rockets Free Pick: Rockets -10.5
Here is my Bulls Rockets free pick. Houston’s height is a major advantage that resonates on the glass, where they lead the NBA. Nic Vucevic will have his hands full trying to snare rebounds, facing the likes of Durant, Sengun, and Steven Adams.
Another area the Bulls will be in tough is defending the perimeter, where they rank 21st, versus the Rockets, who rank fifth on the perimeter.
Chicago is okay on the road (7-11), but are still under .500, so look for the Rockets to take advantage of their strengths.
It will be interesting to see which player gets the nod in Houston for the All-Star Game because each of Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun are having big seasons. It’s unlikely both get the nod.
In terms of injuries, Josh Giddey remains out, which represents an issue for the Bulls as the Australian is the key to pushing their pace and playmaking.
Frequent readers know I’m allergic to big spreads, but after three consecutive losses and not losing at home since November 21st, I believe the Rockets will come out focused and firing, leading to a blowout victory.
