Saturday, January 15th, 2022, the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics play for the second time this season. Chicago won the November 1st match 128-114. The teams will finish the season series in Chicago on April 6th.
Both clubs are playing back-to-back sets with Boston losing 99-111 on the frontside versus the 76ers and the Bulls losing 96-138 to the Warriors.

Chicago Bulls

Although losing sucks, the bigger concern for the Bulls is the health of Zach LaVine who hurt his knee four minutes into the match and had to leave the court. He’ll have an MRI on Saturday but hopefully, it’s not serious.
Nikola Vucevic delivered a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds while Coby White was the top scorer with 20 points. The only other double-figure scorers were DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball with 17 and 15 respectively.
LaVine (knee) Derrick Jones Jr. (knee), Alex Caruso (foot), Tyler Cook (ankle), and Javonte Green (groin) are all out Saturday. Patrick Williams (thumb) is lost for the season.
Boston Celtics
On an upswing, the Celtics have won five of eight however the only elite team in that mix was the Suns. They enter a stretch of the schedule where they’ll face an even mix of plus .500 squads and clubs with sub .500 records in an eight to seven mix including the Philly match.
In the loss Friday, Jayson Tatum (20 points, 11 rebounds) and Robert Williams (12 points, 14 rebounds) each collected double-doubles. Jaylen Brown scored 21 points with two rebounds and a single assist.
Payton Pritchard and Aaron Nesmith were the only other double-figure scorers with 17 and 10 respectively.
The only player listed on the Celtics injury report is Marcus Smart who suffered a thigh injury three games ago and is listed as questionable for Friday.
