The recent games in Vegas offered visual evidence of why Victor Wembanyama is more than worthy of the hype. But for anyone who wondered the fact the Spurs were actively invested in tanking for the first time in over two and half decades was the tell.
The last time this happened in San Antonio, David Robinson was injured and Pops made sure to use the games to teach instead of winning in so the franchise had the shot at getting Tim Duncan.
It feels almost serendipitous that the Spurs could be the franchise to land yet another generational talent who like Duncan is a one of a kind center.
