Tuesday, April 5th, finds the Charlotte Hornets facing the Miami Heat for the fourth and final time this season. Miami will be looking for the sweep having won all three prior games.
The first two matches were easy victories on October 29th (114-99) and February 5th (104-86) while the third contest on February 17th required overtime (111-107).
Charlotte last played Saturday getting routed 144-114 by the 76ers while the Heat won the Kyle Lowry return to Toronto match 114-109.
Last season, the squads played three times with Charlotte winning two of the three contests. The Heat holds the all-time record having bested the Hornets in 70 of their 116 matches.

Entering this final week of play the Hornets are coming off one of their worst losses of the season. That allowed the Hawks to pull ahead of them to the eighth seed in the play-in.

Atlanta gained a game on Charlotte and the teams split the season series so other factors will come into play for the tie-break while Charlotte owns the tiebreak versus the Nets.

Miami Heat
It was an emotional return for Kyle Lowry to Scotiabank Arena. Because the Raptors played in Tampa Bay last season the Raptors faithful hadn’t seen Lowry in 765 days.
Lowry got a hero’s welcome and led his team to the victory with a double-double of 16 points and 10 assists plus six rebounds.
But it was the 3-point shooting that won the day as Max Strus hit seven, Victor Oladipo connected on six and the Heat sizzled as a squad with 18 of 38 from deep.
Strus led the Heat in scoring with 23 points, Oladipo offered 21 off the bench while Tyler Herro (18), Bam Adebayo (16), and Markieff Morris (10) were the other double-figure contributors.
With the victory, the Heat pull two games up on the Celtics, and 2.5 on each of the Bucks and 76ers. Miami has three games remaining hosting including this match plus the Hawks at home and will close out the season on the road in Orlando.
Jimmy Butler (rest) is probable while PJ Tucker (knee), Kyle Lowry (rest), Markieff Morris (hip), Dewayne Dedmon (ankle) Caleb Martin (calf), and Gabe Vincent (toe) are all questionable for Tuesday.
