Free Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards NBA Prediction:
Saturday, February 1st finds the Brooklyn Nets tipping off versus their hosts the Washington Wizards for the first time this season.
The Nets enter the match on the second night of a back-to-back after beating the Chicago Bulls on Friday night by a score of 133-118.
Last season, the teams played four times splitting the matches. The Wizards hold the all-time record having bested the Nets in 101 of their 189 matches
Brooklyn Nets
In the win over the Pistons on Wednesday, Spencer Dinwiddie played his first game wearing his new jersey as he elected to honor Kobe Bryant by retiring his old jersey number 8 in favor of 26.
The guard also registered 28 points, six assists, and three rebounds in that victory and followed it up with 20 points versus the Bulls.

Kyrie Irving who was too grief-stricken to play on Sunday took to the court still visibly upset versus the Pistons registering 20 points but exploded for 54 points versus the Bulls.
Taurean Prince (16), Jarrett Allen (12), and Garrett Temple (11) all reached double-figure scoring versus Chicago.
Team leaders are Dinwiddie in scoring (21.4) and assists (6.5), Prince for steals (1.0) and Jarrett Allen tops three categories including rebounds (9.6) for field goal percentage (64.8%) and blocks (1.5).
Although Garrett Temple exited the Pistons match sporting a cut above his eye and was listed as questionable he did suit up and play versus the Bulls.
Kevin Durant remains out rehabbing for his ruptured Achilles and is expected to miss the entirety of the season.
Washington Wizards
Bradley Beal was not happy about missing out selection as an All-Star reserve calling his exclusion disrespectful and stated he would lead his team into the playoffs.
That’ll be a great feat if he can pull it off given the Wizards sport a 16-31 record and are 4.5 games behind the eighth-place Nets entering Friday night action.
Something Beal’s Wizards will need to do is defend and considering they’ve allowed 21 opponents to reach 120 or more points they have their work cut out.
Case in point, although Washington defeated the Hornets in their last match in the two previous games they allowed the Hawks and Bucks to score over 150 points.
In the victory over the Hornets Beal put up a strong stat line of 34 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.
Thomas Bryant (21), Isaiah Thomas (18), Troy Brown Jr. (12) and Ish Smith (11) were the other double-figure contributors.
On the season Beal leads the team in scoring (28.7) and assists (6.4). Troy Brown Jr. tops rebounds (5.9), steals (1.3) and 46.6% field goal percentage, while Ian Mahinmi tops the blocks (1.4) category.
Rookie Hachimura has missed over 20 games with a groin contusion but is listed as probable for Saturday and got good news with his selection to the Rising Stars World Team.
Jordan McCrae, Moritz Wagner, and Garrison Matthews are all nursing ankle injuries and none will play Saturday.
John Wall (Achilles) is out for the season.
