Utah is in Golden State the night before but that is not the challenge it has been in recent years.

Brooklyn will be missing a key secondary scorer with Caris Levert injured.

Utah might be a little winded for this one but should still be favored at home.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets started their road trip with a nice win at Portland but then just got walloped by Phoenix. They allowed 138 points to the Suns.

Kyrie Irving had his worst game as a Net scoring just 15 points. Just as disturbing is that the team was -31 with him on the floor for just 25 minutes.

With the game out of hand they were able to give some time to their development projects like Dzana Musa and Davis Nwaba. Both might get some extra time in this one with LeVert out.

After the terrible defensive outing against the Suns Brooklyn is second to last in the league in points allowed.

Lucky for Brooklyn the Jazz will be more than happy to play at a slower pace which can make them look better defensively.

They are in the middle of this trip and this might be the toughest game.  They need to rebound quickly and pounce on a possibly tired team.

Brooklyn has lost the consistency they played with a year ago.

Utah Jazz

Utah is the top defensive team in the NBA heading into Monday night action, giving up just 97ppg.

They have three new starters this season but Royce O’Neal was a holdover so he knows what to do when the other team has the ball.

The signing of Bojan Bogdanovic might have been the move of the off season. All he has done was take what he did for the Pacers and dial it up to 11. He is making almost half of his three-pointers with better rebounding and defensive numbers too.

Once Mike Conley finds the range and gets more comfortable look for the Jazz to really get on a run. Quin Snyder is a good coach and it took him a little while to get the team going a year ago too.
