The Nets beat the Bulls on Tuesday night in Brooklyn for their 28th win, matching last season’s total. D’Angelo Russell scored 30 to lead either team and Shabazz Napier hit for 24 off the bench. Joe Harris had 17, five rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes.
It was the Nets’ first win since Spencer Dinwiddie went out until March with a thumb injury. They lost on Monday in Boston in the first game Dinwiddie missed.
Treveon Graham missed Monday’s game with a stiff back but he came back to play Chicago. Allen Crabbe is still missing games and it’s unclear exactly when he’ll be back.
Caris LeVert is starting to work out but he’s still a ways off from getting back on the court in a game situation. LeVert was averaging over 18 per game when he went down in early November. Then again, the Nets weren’t winning when he was doing that much scoring.
San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs made it way too close for comfort against the Suns on Tuesday but did end up winning their third in a row, 126–124.
Davis Bertans stepped into the starting lineup for DeMar DeRozan and scored 18 points. DeRozan has missed all three games during the Spurs’ current winning streak.
LaMarcus Aldridge led San Antonio with 29 and seven guys finished in double-figures, including Patty Mills and Marco Belinelli again off the bench. Four different guys had five assists (Bertans, Mills, Belinelli and Rudy Gay).
DeRozan has been listed as day-to-day throughout this injured stretch so he shouldn’t miss much more time. San Antonio has two more home games to round out a five-game stretch before hitting the road.
The Spurs will play their final five games before the All-Star break on the road and the first three out of the break away from home. They’re essentially even with the Rockets after Houston lost on Tuesday night. If they can survive the road trip, they’ll be in great position to win the Southwest down the home stretch.

Free Brooklyn Nets vs. San Antonio Spurs NBA Prediction: the Spurs win by six, seven, eight.
This will be a competitive game between two scrappy and well-coached teams. I’ve definitely got the Spurs, though. They have been playing some of the best basketball in the league for a long time now (as have the Nets) and Brooklyn will miss Dinwiddie against the strong second unit of San Antonio.
